For the first couple of months of your working life, your ordinary or transmission account will suffice for your day-to-day banking needs. However, once you are able to put a bit of money aside, you might wish to consider opening a special savings account. You can operate your special savings account with the same ATM card that you use for your ordinary or transmission account.

The purpose of a special account is to earn a higher rate of interest and also to keep some of your money apart from that which you use for your day-to-day needs. However, as mentioned earlier, in return for paying you a higher rate of interest, the building society requires you to maintain a minimum balance requirement, like R200, in your special account.

It might also set a maximum of two withdrawals per month — so you must plan your operations. For example, if you know in advance that you will need to make a few withdrawals from your special savings account in one month, you should rather make one transfer to your ordinary account (that transfer will count as a single withdrawal from your special account) and then withdraw from your ordinary account as and when you need the money.

Some banks offer an increasing rate of interest as the balance in your savings account rises, which thus takes the form of a savings and special account in one. However, some people still find it a good idea to have two accounts, for the sole reason of keeping the money which they are saving for a special purpose “out of sight” of their day-to- day money, so as not to be tempted to draw it.

The most basic reason for saving is the old maxim of “putting something away for a rainy day”.

Most people are optimists, and young people particularly so. We believe that nothing unforeseen will go wrong in our lives to cost us large sums of money.

It is good to be optimistic, but it is also good to be realistic! Believe me, by the time you are 30, if not a lot younger, you will know all about the many things that can go wrong and cost you a fortune!

Your car could suffer a serious breakdown the day after its guarantee has expired. Loan interest rates could rise (they frequently do, after people have calculated what they can afford to pay on a certain purchase), resulting in sharply increased repayments. The company you work for could find itself in trouble, and have to retrench some of its staff. Even the civil service could, in a time of serious national distress, find itself unable to pay as many employees as it would like to — meaning that some of them (including maybe you) could find themselves with a reduced bonus or no pay rise, or maybe even no job, at a time when every cent is needed to pay hire purchase or house loan instalments. Or you could suffer a serious injury which keeps you off work for longer than your employer’s insurance is prepared to carry you on full pay.

Have you not seen your parents’ swimming pool develop a crack which needs costly repairs, at the same time as the lawn mower or the washing machine broke down, just when they needed to kit out your younger brother for high school — and all of this happening immediately after the summer holidays which themselves cost an arm and a leg?

If for no other reason, then, save for a rainy day. Because assuredly, that rainy day will come!

The first person you are likely to approach is someone who will prove to be an invaluable and important contact in your business life—your bank manager. At the very least you will need him to approve your application for a special bank account for your business earnings, and you will probably need advice on loans and other financial assistance. Getting to know your bank manager is a vital aspect of your business—requests for financial support are more likely to be met with enthusiasm if the manager knows about you and your business than if you are an unknown entity.

Many people think bank managers only become involved with customers if they owe money. In fact, most of the people a bank manager sees in an average day are businessmen and women who need advice, information and assistance. The bank manager is not an ogre but a highly experienced individual with a wide knowledge of finance and business. Bank managers also have a network of other consultants and professionals whose knowledge they can draw on for advice and assistance should your requests be unusual. Banks also employ their own specialists who concentrate on particular types of customer. For example, all banks have specialist managers who understand the needs of the self- employed and small businesses. So if your branch manager does not have sufficient specialist experience in your field there is likely to be someone within the bank’s region who can help. However, always begin by contacting the branch manager of the bank you want to use.

Which bank is for you?

Choosing a bank seems complicated with the wide variety of accounts now available. If you are happy with your current banking arrangements then it is wise to have your business account there as well. However, do look around at the competition to see what is available. High Street banking is becoming increasingly competitive and the fight for business customers is intense. It is worth remembering too that the larger building societies also offer cheque accounts, so see what is on offer. Building societies are also open longer hours than most banks, but they have fewer cash card machines and cheques need ten days to clear, rather than three for the banks. However, theinterest rates on deposit accounts are usually higher than those offered by the banks. So shop around, and ask yourself: What sort of account do you really need?

Specialist banking services

All High Street banks offer specialist services for small businesses and the self-employed and produce booklets and leaflets for potential business customers. The National Westminster Bank produces two excellent booklets—Start Up and Go with NatWest and Know Your Own Business—which you can get from any branch. The Midland has an information pack called Credo Planning—Helping You Succeed in Business and the other banks have similar brochures and booklets. Barclays produces Starting Your Own Business, while Lloyds has Starting Your Business. Naturally the other banks, such as the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Cooperative Bank, the TSB, and even some building societies produce brochures and booklets for potential business customers. Get hold of as many of these brochures as possible from your local branches. Once you have read all of the literature you can decide which of the banks offers the kind of services you want.

The local branch?

In these days of electronic financial transactions and the ubiquitous fax machine it may seem unnecessary to choose a local branch. However, there are advantages:

* You can pop in and see the staff more easily.

* The manager can provide much more informative help.

Bank managers form the hub of much local business activity and are able to pass on useful sales contacts to their clients as well as help assess local competition. Although the bank managers are forbidden to act as agents, they are able to help their customers by pointing them in the right direction to improve their business. There are extremely strict laws and codes of practice relating to the security of banking information and so the activity of clients is totally confidential. Even the courts are required to obtain injunctions to get information from a bank manager! So the manager will not act as a local publicity mouthpiece for your business, but should someone he meets want the services or products you sell, your name may very well be dropped into the conversation! The banks would probably deny that such information ever passes the lips of their staff, but the system has been established for centuries—and it’s unlikely to change now!

It is with the great Disappointments and sadness to inform you about the status of my bond qualification from different banking sector .

I first tried Absa Bank of Eastgate and they verbally told me that I won’t be able to qualify for the bond amount required due to affordability, base on my monthly salary of R11000.00 plus R40 000.00 deposit or top up amount .They told me that I should be able to pay monthly installments of R4738.58 excluding insurance , then they will only pay 90% of bond that means I must raise 10% . They looking for plus minus R80000.00 as deposit .

Standard Bank decline the application due to affordability (installment versus income) .After I send the motivational letter they reconsider my application and they told me that they can only offer me +- R230 000.00

Ned bank is willing to offer me +-R260 000.00 which is close to the total amount R350 000.00 when you consider the R40 000.00 , that means I will be on R300 000.00 and short of R50 000.00 .

I also tried First National Bank and they can only help me with far less than R200 000.00..

My company is also telling me that the new credit Act will apply to my application if I want to withdraw/take or to borrow money from my pension fund or from the company .

I have been trying hard to win this beautiful house .So far I don’t know what else must I do because things seems to be very difficult in our country .

Could you please see how best can you advice me on this matter .Thanking you

Afrikaners are the most desperate prejudiced people living in South Africa. They had no respect and no manner. There are no moral left in their community, except the law. Their smelly and disgusting behaviors make every visitor sick.

There were five factors have contributed Afrikaners‘ smelly behaviors:

First, Afrikaners were no better than hungry hobos who couldn’t make a life in their own country. They hobo to South Africa and raped local trial land.

It just reminded me, the local Afrikaners used to talk so proudly “the white people (the Afrikaners used to refer themselves as only white ruling people South Africa ) freed the black people from the bush, but the black people can’t free themselves from the bush in “. When the first time I heard this, I hardly to understand it, the local Afrikaners explained it to me “the white people got the black people from the bush, (at the times the Afrikaners putted their foot on South Africa , and the black people was living on the trials in the bush.) And the white people had the black people work on their farm. Then the black people had bread and clothes. The white people told the black people what and when to work. So the black people used to work for the white people . So the black people white people generation by generation . The white people are the black people ’s big boss. listened, served and worked for the ” It made me feel more than uncomfortable, angry and disgusting. As a foreigner, I have heard this “proud” speaks for many times from Afrikaners. What is a disgusting and unashamed speak!

Second, the smart English came.

A great challenge to Afrikaans farmers .
Why I want to say Afrikaners are the most desperate prejudiced people living in South Africa instead of the English? Back to the history, Afrikaners South Africa . And the English was the next because South Africa has been found of plenty of gold and diamond. were the first colonist in

But the English was smart, they had their own purpose. They wanted the resource neither the land nor the black slaves .

The Afrikaners were farmers. They were short sighted. They wanted everything, the land, the gold, the diamond and the slaves. When the English Afrikaners gave no thought, crossing their raped land, took their old farm gun and fought. Thousands of people’s lives lost on the battle because of their stubbornness which was out of the expectation of the English. came, the

The English’s invasion soured Afrikaans easy assets and resource’s capitalization.

Third, international punish!

When the democracy and freedom washed the rest of the world, South Afrikaans farmers disregard any of these facts; they closed their door and continued their devastated thrall despotism: apartheid. It was shocking the world. Afrikaans farmers ignored any kind of warning from the international. Their devastated actions throw South Africa into the worst situation: South Africa was isolated from the world. African

Fourth, no more black slaves .

Since 1994, Mandela freed the country from the Afrikaans’s apartheid. Afrikaans was terrified of the deprived ruling rights. Afrikaner used to preserve the black slaves as their own property. And they lost their free hard working black people because Mandela freed the black people.

Fifth, the new government and the new rules.

The black government in South Africa has put so much into consideration. Unlike the Zimbabwe, The black government kept the property law almost unchanged. So the Afrikaans farmers still had their colonizing land generation by generation . But the economic interest has shifted to empower the majority citizens: empower the poor black brothers and sisters. Heavy income, property and heritage tax put a big burden on Afrikaners. Black Economic Empowering Act again chopped away the economic dominant Afrikaners‘ shareholding.

It’s not a secret that we can get an e*trade bank account outside of United States, and use it as a bank account for an US Paypal account, and get most advanced e-money benefits. The problem is (it’s not really a problem anyway), one bank account can only use for one paypal account.

However, I have an amazing discovery that you can use one E*Trade Securities Account as 3 bank account for 3 paypal account (or only for one, if you want to waste it).

Here is how you do it:

Your First Bank Account:

Financial Institution Name : ETrade Securities LLC
ABA or Routing Code : 056073573
Account Number : XXXXXXXX

It’s the standard one you was told by etrade. After received money from paypal by add a bank account, you will get “Electronic Deposit Credited” or “Electronic Deposit Received“.

Then you go to paypal bank confirm page:

Confirm deposits
Bank account
ETrade Securities, XXXXXXXXXX
Deposit amounts Need help? (2 digits)
$0 .USD (input the amount here)
$0 .USD

Your Second Bank Account:

Financial Institution Name : ETrade Bank
ABA or Routing Code : 256072691
Account Number : XXXXXXXX (same as above)

You see, etrade is a bank as well, they have another routing number. Obvious they use different account number for bank and security, so they can identify incoming deposit by account number.

After you get a deposit from paypal, you will see “Deposit Credited”

Ok, here is the third bank account for you:

Financial Institution Name : Chase Bank
ABA or Routing Code : 021000018
Account Number : 104000000XXXXXXXX (XX is your 8-digit brokerage account number

After you get money from paypal, you will see “Deposit Credited“.

If you amazed why and how this work, because eTrade is a financial instituted and they have bank account at another bank as well, so when you deposit to another bank and use the right account number(belongs to etrade of course) followed by yours, it’s call “FBO”, for benefit of, just means eTrade will forward the money to your bank account later.

And, as I always do, I give bonus, here is more:

These two bank info are for use eTrade as a UK bank account, congratulations, you have a United Kingdom Bank account now as well.

Bank: Citibank
Address: The Strand, London, W2

The last thing: don’t use Confirm instantly at paypal, because you do not truly have 3 account That’s all, happy banking.

For default, there do not have a Form widgets in WordPress, so I use Dagon Design Form Mailer, very easy to use.

Ok, I am not introduce you the form mailer here, I met problem indeed. I use the mailer for get email, the problem is, no matter how hard I try, how many settings I change, there is just no mail arrive my box.

The WordPress itself works well and can send email. So, simple fix is use wordpress mail function instead the one in the Form Mailer.

Here is how to do it:

open dd-formmailer.php file, find the mail function: (mail($send_to, $email_subject, $msg, $headers);

change mail to wp_mail. Done.
